To-Do List Update

A couple weeks ago, during my lesson’s learned post, I promised an update on our Home By Hanley To-Do List, first seen here.  I think the only thing we made an real progress on was adding items to our to-do list.  That’s just the nature of the course life takes.  Whenever you have the time and energy to tackle a project, you lack the funds.  If it’s not the money, maybe you just don’t feel like doing it this weekend.  Both instances and many more apply to me and getting things done, both on my to-do list and regular “adult” responsibilities like cleaning house.  Either way, I’m still having fun tackling projects when I’m able and mulling over and planning out future endeavors.  Without further ado, our updated Home by Hanley To-Do List:

Notes about the to-do list:

Some projects I just did real quick and didn’t bother posting about.  I figured sticking weatherstripping on door frames was about as exciting as well…sticking weatherstripping on door frames. If you have questions about anything I haven’t posted (or anything I have) feel free to ask!

I also added a category to the list: Stairway/Landing.  I was just thinking we need to come up with something to make that area as interesting as the rest of the house.  After living here for six months, I’ve also realized we desperately need functionality around our front door (space to stow keys, bags, shoes) which is at the base of the stairs.

Conspicuously absent from the list is our second bedroom.  The second bedroom is pretty much a place for our furniture odds and ends to live together with my American Girl doll collection and Shane’s music equipment.  Since we would love to fix it up as a nursery for future children, we’re leaving it as-is for now.  No sense in making it a great guest room and then having to change it all over again.  We just don’t have that kind of time, energy or money.

We’ll have to see how the next 6 months go in terms of the to-do list! Here’s hoping for some progress!
